UK, Grenada, Saudi Arabia: More countries open to fully vaccinated travelers

(CNN) — There’s one menacing global traveler currently racing through countries faster than Phileas Fogg and its name is the Delta variant.

So how are countries responding? Here are 10 things we learned in pandemic travel this week.

1. The US is keeping its travel restrictions…

Covid-19 cases are rising in all 50 states as experts warn that unvaccinated individuals are accounting for most new cases. CNN’s Natasha Chen reports.

The United States is not going to start welcoming tourists from EU member states, the UK, Ireland, China, India, South Africa, Iran and Brazil anytime soon.

A White House official told CNN on Monday that it would be maintaining existing coronavirus travel restrictions amid surging cases triggered by the Delta variant.
On the same day, the US State Department and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued new advisories for five nations, citing the rise in Covid cases.
