Unvaccinated passengers sailing out of Florida will soon have to obtain a vacation insurance coverage in advance of they can board a ship in the Carnival Cruise line.

Carnival’s new COVID policy necessitating unvaccinated tourists to exhibit proof of vacation insurance goes into effect for journeys that set sail from Florida commencing July 31. The cruise line has ports in Miami, Orlando, Tampa and Jacksonville.

The insurance plan should protect a least of $10,000 in health-related charges and contain a “$30,000 protection for emergency professional medical evacuation and without the need of COVID-19 exclusions,” Carnival says in their policy.
